Wendy Shoemaker

Dr. Wendy Shoemaker is the Program Director of the University Career Center. As the Program Director, she leads several teams who provide comprehensive career planning experiences for KU students and alumni. She studied Geography as an undergraduate student which has led to a lifelong pursuit of international experiences and collaborations in Europe, Africa and Central Asia. Wendy created the Preparing for International Careers course in 2004 to equip students with knowledge, resources and perspective about international work and has helped many students explore international career pathways in industry, government, and non-profit organizations. She has led over 15 KU study abroad experiences.
