Biography —
Melissa Johnson has taught LA&S 490: Internship Exploration for the past 10 years and brings more than 25 years of experience as a career coach and consultant to the course. Her passion lies in helping students make the most of their internship experiences by building and applying essential career competencies that prepare them for success in today’s workforce.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Kansas and a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from The University of Missouri. Melissa also completed a Distance Counselor Certification program through The Center for Credentialing and Education.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and two dogs, planning her next travel adventure, and cheering on her favorite Kansas City sports teams. Rock Chalk!
